16th Annual Battleground Chili Cook-off
We hope
during your visit, you will wander through the
18th Annual
Battleground Chili
Cook-off Area.
The cook-off is held each year
and sanctioned by
the Chili Appreciation
Society International
(CASI). All proceeds from
this event go to the
preservation of the Parker's Crossroads National Battlefield Park.
Throughout the years, this group has donated over $20,000 to the
preservation efforts of the Battlefield Association. What began as
a
small event, has now become the premier chili cook-off East of the
Mississippi River, attracting
many past
world and international champions!
The cook-off will be held adjacent to the Parker's Crossroads Visitor's Center
at 20650 Hwy 22 North. PO-Boys' Pizza is hosting the event in their
hospitality tent. Judging starts at 1 p.m on Saturday! The "Hot Pod"
will have yet another cook-off on Sunday with judging at noon.
If you would like to judge chili, contact Sue Jordan at the Visitor's Center
by telephone (731) 968-1191 or email jordan@parkerscrossroads.com!
